Since he threw his name into the hat to become the Member of Parliament of Richmond and Northallerton, Lee's phone hasn't stopped ringing, particularly from local farmers in the area who feel let down by the Conservative government of Rishi Sunak

The help that was promised to alleviate the loss of EU subsidies hasn't materialised, and farmers locally feel aggrieved that Rishi Sunak haven't capitalised on all the opportunities of leaving the European Union.  A well-funded national farming support scheme could have created. Instead, Rishi has prioritised his fantasy Rwanda scheme over farmers, paying over £300 million to date, without a single plane taking off.  How local farmers could have used that money!

Lee has been touring the constituency already and has been stopping by as many farmers as he could, as a way of personally thanking them for their support.
